Glow Up! Top 5 Beauty All Time Must Haves
A glow without all the fuss! Staying hydrated, eating a balanced diet and getting good sleep, I would definitely say would make you glow up. Also, just paying attention to your body is definitely apart of the glow up, being keenly aware of what it's feeling, thinking and doing, so you can respond accordingly.
I wouldn't say I'm your Sephora or Ulta Beauty girl on a constant hunt for all the new beauty, skin and makeup must haves. I observe and I do my own research before I buy products. What works best for me is having just a quick grab of products is more my style. I actually hate being a product junkie with tons of things going to waste. So I factor in the different seasons I will be exposed to and take it from there.
I keep it pretty simple and these days I'm feeling golden. A happy medium between glowing in the dark and a little glow worm.
Here's what's on my bathroom shelf.
1) What has me raving these days in the "I woke up this" Beyonce voice, is Go Radiance Vitamin C SerumGo Radiance Vitamin C Serum
What makes it a rave is it's very hydrating. With it's aloe, jojoba oil, witch hazel, vitamin c and plant based hyaluronic acid, You will literally look like the fountain of youth. It's anti aging properties ability to improve the texture of the skin is a definite win.
2) Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel is an all time fave. A quick spritz when you feel your face needs a little pick me up. My typical use is a few spritz at night, or after a flight and I will also use at night and day during colder months because its so moisturizing. It's alcohol free, it has aloe and its a toner and astringent. This is beauty in a bottle. Thayers Rose Petal Toner
3) Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask is a weekly treat for your face. It's light in texture, gentle on the skin and it smells divine. The experience is almost the equivalent to the feeling of you smiling, sniffing a bouquet of roses. While it is a clay mask, it doesn't dry rock hard like you've been sitting in a desert. After washing it off, your skin will look and feel delightful. Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask
4) There have been way to many myths and untruths regarding skin over the years, especially oily skin. As a person who grew up with oily skin, I could tell you this as fact. My skin has never looked better since I've added oils into my skin care regime. It keeps me looking youthful, skin supple, looking hydrated and I find my skin to be more resilient than ever, able to bounce back from a blemish, or dryness or even too much sun. My current go to is jojoba oil. It's light and it actually feels like the natural sebum my skin would produce. I use both night and day. Desert Essence Jojoba Oil
5) The game changer! I think I've used the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay for about four years now. This is when my skin really began to glow up. My pores began to shrink, white heads, black heads hiding beneath the surface of my skin began to purge itself, my skin tone became more even and most of all I finally got a hold of my oily skin. This product is one to hold onto for life. While it can be drying, you have to be careful with it's usage and immediately follow through with thoroughly moisturizing your face.
